Agriculture Department Publishes Farming Standards and First Inspection ResultsEight farming standards apply to every registered holding from today. Of 386 inspections carried out during the transition period, 335 found the holding compliant; 40 advisory notices and 11 improvement notices were issued.

Agriculture Department Sets Out Arrangements for Reporting Notifiable DiseaseKeepers and growers must report a suspected notifiable disease or pest to the Department without delay. A veterinary or plant health officer attends within 24 hours. No case was confirmed during the transition period.

Agriculture Department Opens Five Rural Offices and Publishes Land and Holdings FiguresRural offices in the five agricultural districts of the Network open between 7 and 11 September 2026. The Department's first statistical release records 4,218 registered holdings, 312,600 hectares of agricultural land and 11,870 people regularly employed on holdings.
